First Friday's is a Richmond event that happens every Friday year round honoring the art scene. Most of the artists are local and unexpected. This is not an event that features only paintings and photography. There is plenty of performance art, abstract, urban and apparel. Most of the art is on sale by the artists. Even if you are not very art inclined it is a very unique experience that the Richmond downtown scene has to offer that everyone should experience at least once. After the event is over many of the restaurants and bars in the area get pretty busy which can be a very fun atmosphere outside of the clubbing scene.
